Club Brugge hosts PSG
We are going to take a visit at the Jan Breydelstadion in Brugge, because on Tuesday Club Brugge hosts PSG in a game from Group A of the Champions League. We will try to analyze this fixture on Belgian soil in our Champions League predictions for today.
Club Brugge started the new campaign in the Champions League with two draws in the first two rounds. After sharing the points with Galatasaray at home, the Belgians made a prestigious 2-2 draw during their visit to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. At halftime the Belgians even had two goals lead, thanks to the two strikes of Emmanuel Dennis. Sadly for Club Brugge, they didn’t keep their advantage, because after the break Sergio Ramos and Casemiro equalised for Los Blancos.
This puts the Belgian team in a good position to chase something more in this group – maybe not the first two places in the company of PSG and Real Madrid, but eventually beating Galatasaray for the third place and qualifying for Europa League.
PSG are perfect in the group so far – two wins from two games played. After the convincing 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the first round, the Frenchmen won against Galatasaray as well. The summer signing Mauro Icardi scored the only goal in the game at the Turk Telekom Arena in Istanbul.
PSG’s manager Thomas Tuchel is once again worried by the fitness of one of his biggest stars – Neymar. The Brazilian maestro is once again injured, so he’s missing the trip to Belgium. But luckily for Tuchel, he has enough players on the bench to replace him.
In our Champions League predictions for today we consider PSG favourites against Club Brugge. But the way the Belgian side performed at the Santiago Bernabeu two weeks ago shall remind you that they are not a crap team at all.
