Koln and Union Berlin

Koln and Union Berlin are going toe to toe on Saturday at the RheinEnergieStadion in the city of Koln. In our free sure soccer tips we are going to preview this fixture.

Koln still can’t really replicate the great form they had before the COVID-19 quarantine break. Since the league got restarted the Billy Goats are still without a win – three draws and two defeats. Because of this they fell to 12th place in the standings with 35 points. What the manager Markus Gisdol can do now is try to inspire his team in the same way he did before the coronavirus situation.

Last week the Billy Goats recorded their 5th draw for the season. Koln visited Augsburg at the WWK Arena and went home with a point after a 1-1 draw. The visitors had the luck to open the score with a late goal from Anthony Modeste in the 85th minute, but in the 88th Max equalised for the hosts.

Against Union Berlin Koln will be without the injured Niklas Hauptmann and Birger Verstraete who are not avaliable for actio.

Union Berlin are another team without a win since the restart of the league. That’s why the newcomers fell to 14th place in the standings with 32 points won. They are just four points ahead of the 16th Fortuna Dusseldorf, so survival is still not one hundred percent for Union. They need to step up in the last few rounds in order to be completely calm.

Last week Union also made a 5th draw for the season. They hosted Schalke 04 and the game ended 1-1. Robert Andrich opened the score for Union, but the home side was unable to keep its advantage.

On Saturday Union can’t use the suspended Andrich, while Ryerson, Opfermann-Arcones, Becker and Dehl are all injured.
